The phenomenally popular Indian-Canadian comedian Russell Peters will return to South Africa as part of his new ‘Notorious’ world tour.  As with previous tours here, his show on Wednesday, 4 April at the GrandWest Grand Arena is expected to sell out.

Peters first attracted global attention when a clip of his stand up performance on a Canadian television show, Comedy Now, was posted onto YouTube.  Since then he has accumulated a myriad of accolades which include performing to record crowds in London’s O2 stadium and New York’s esteemed Radio City Music Hall last year.  And according to Forbes he is one of the top 10 highest earning comedians, a group that includes the likes of Jerry Seinfeld and Chris Rock.

Known for his satire, improvisation and black comedy, Peters draws on his experience of multiculturalism and stereotyping in his hilarious comedy skits.
