CELEBRATE YOUR HERITAGE AT THE LABORIE LAZY DAYS MARKET

Leading up to National Heritage Day as well as National Braai Day, we call upon fellow South Africans to join in at the festivities at a special themed market on Saturday, 22 September (9am to 2pm), at the popular Laborie Lazy Days Market.

In keeping with the theme visitors will be treated to five different braais where you’ll have the chance to purchase and enjoy a delicious braaivleis meal, whilst overlooking Laborie’s picturesque views. Award-winning wines from Laborie, the perfect braai partner, will also be available to purchase and enjoy on the day, as well as a selection of micro-brewery beers. Car enthusiasts can also look forward to a Chevy car expo, which will include some of their latest models.

Live entertainment will ensure that the adults can sit back and relax as the kids enjoy themselves at the specially demarcated kiddies’ area.

Fast gaining a following, the popular lifestyle market is situated on the picturesque Laborie Wine Farm in the heart of the Paarl Winelands, less than an hour’s drive from Cape Town. Since its establishment in 2011, the market has become known as the ideal meeting place in Paarl. Known as the ‘neighbourhood farm in the centre of Paarl’, it is the perfect occasion for family and friends to enjoy a Saturday morning in a scenic and relaxed setting.

Visitors are treated to a wide selection of fresh produce and lifestyle goods. These include freshly baked breads, coffee, cheese, olives, honey and charcuterie. From mouth-watering food stalls to arts and craft exhibitors, the market caters to young and old.

Laborie produces some of the best Méthode Cap Classique bubblies; an array of award-winning wines as well as an estate brandy. Visitors can stay overnight in the tranquil guest house or enjoy a delicious meal at Harvest.

An exciting new addition to the farm’s many offerings is the Cecil Skotnes art exhibition, featuring 30 works by this highly acclaimed South African artist, which has been partnered with the Laborie Limited Collection wines. A permanent exhibition at Laborie, his masterpieces are on display in the Cellar Door, Manor House and in the restaurant.
