THE IRISH SENSATIONS CELTIC WOMAN IN BELIEVE AT GRANDWEST

2 Oct, 2012

The Irish female singing sensations Celtic Woman will make South African eyes smile too when they perform live at the GrandWest Grand Arena on Tuesday 2nd October 2012 as part of their Believe Tour.

Since its formation in 2004, Celtic Woman has enjoyed enormous success with their sold-out tours of the United States and Europe, their CDs and DVDs having sold over 6-million copies and their live concerts having collectively attracted an audience of over 2-million.

For their Believe Tour, which comes to SA directly after its USA and Europe legs, Celtic Woman will feature singers Chloë Agnew, Lisa Lambe, Celtic violinist Máiréad Nesbitt and newest member Susan McFadden, who just happens to be the sister of Westlife’s Brian McFadden. Susan takes the place of founding member Lisa Kelly who is on maternity leave.

Audiences will be treated to a variety of iconic Irish songs including “The Water Is Wide,” “Green Grow the Rushes,” “A Woman’s Heart,” “The Parting Glass”, pop anthems “Sailing”, the moving and uplifting “You’ll Never Walk Alone” and their unique version of “Ave Maria” amongst others.

Celtic Woman’s live performance will be under the musical direction of their creator, David Downes, former musical director of the popular Irish dance spectacle Riverdance.  Downes has also been the orchestrator and arranger for Bonnie Tyler, Charlotte Church and Secret Garden.

The show starts at 20h00 and tickets are available between R375 and R735 from Computicket.
