WIN AN ECO HOME WORTH R1.2 MILLION AT THE GREEN EXPO
In order to enhance and facilitate awareness of green living, The Green Venture Group has partnered with The Green Expo to this year give away an Eco Home valued at R1.2 million.
The beautiful and highly functional family home will be built “off the grid” in a one-of-a-kind security village in the picturesque Wellington valley and all visitors to The Green Expo will be in the running to win this life changing prize.
More than just a property development, the eco-village in Wellington is being designed and constructed according to the most innovative sustainability principles, using environmentally friendly materials, products and even service providers. This is to be the pilot project of a series of similar security villages planned for various locations in South Africa.
The Green Expo in association with National Geographic Channel takes place from the 23rd to the 25th of November at the Cape Town Convention Centre and invites members of the public to discover practical solutions that will allow them to harness their green consciousness in a fun and sustainable way.
Presented by the multi award-winning organisers of the SABC Education Baba Indaba, this comprehensive trade and consumer exhibition promises to be an informative and interactive event not to be missed.
With the Expo byline Sustainability is your Responsibility underpinning the event, complex issues such as climate change, biodiversity, biotechnology and social investment will be addressed by leaders in the field, while exhibitors will showcase cutting-edge products, services and sustainable eco-design, including the latest hybrid vehicles.
Nampak Bevcan, in partnership with Collect-a-Can, will once again bring topical issues to the fore with a comprehensive Main State Programme, which includes expert speakers, interactive discussions and even cutting-edge Upcycled fashion.

The winner of the home will be drawn from all visitors to The Green Expos which was held in Sandton in September and now Cape Town. The winners will be announced in Cape Town on Sunday 25 November 2012.”
In keeping with their mantra, The Green Expo will also be instituting green measures of its own, ensuring all green credentials are fulfilled! The organisers will ensure waste reduction through the recycling of all paper and plastics, as well as biodegradable waste through compost production. Energy consumption will be kept to a minimum through the various energy-saving measures being implemented and all the mouth-watering meals served at the event will also be prepared from organic produce only.
Don’t miss this unique expo in Cape Town, open from 10:00 – 18:00 on Friday and Saturday and till 17h00 on Sunday. Tickets are R50 each, but visitors who cycle to the event get in free!
