Artscape celebrates Africa Day with music and song
Artscape celebrates Africa Day on 25 May with a special concert that features well-known local musicians and choirs. The programme for the next two weeks includes two schools setwork productions, a conference, a fundraiser and a fast-paced, provocative reflection on climate change.

Amaza – 13 to 24 May 2013 (±2 hrs)

THIS thriller at the Theatre is set in a rural village in the Transkei. Adultery, deceit and lies are just some of the ingredients in this intriguing tale. Tickets cost R40.

Vers en Kabaret 15 to 24 May 2013 (±2 hrs)
THE warmth and greatness of Afrikaans poetry unfold in this presentation at the Arena under the direction of Alfred Rietmann. It is filled with simplicity, multiplicity and Afrikaans culture. Tickets cost R40.

NET PROPHET returns for its fifth consecutive year, this time to the Artscape Opera House. This one-day conference brings together industry leaders, entrepreneurs and professionals in the internet space for a day of inspiration and innovation. Ten of the best local and international speakers in the startup/entrepreneurship sector share their stories, passion, trend forecasts and the lessons they have learnt through years in the online industry. ARTSCAPE celebrates Africa Day with a concert that features the Indigenous Orchestra and well-known Western Cape choirs at the Theatre. Under the direction of Bongani Sotshononda, the festivities also include a performance by soprano Friedel Mitas accompanied by the Cape Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. Tickets cost R80.
