ArtforMe exhibition at the V & A Waterfront
For art that looks so good it’s edible don’t miss the Art of Food exhibition this Sunday, 27 October. The Table Bay’s Sous Chef Jason Franco alongside other top Chefs will whip up three gourmet dishes as part of the bigger ArtforMe exhibition currently being hosted in Cape Town. The exhibition aims to showcase various contemporary art forms.
But the creativity of food lies in the tasting, and the public are invited to do so on the day. Entry to ArtforMe’s Food of Art event will take place at The Lookout in the V&A Waterfront at a cost of R100 for adults and R50 for children. They will be able to sample Chef Franco’s delectable Rooibos Smoked Franschhoek Trout served with radish, lettuce, caviar and alfaalfa, or Karan of Beef Fillet with a bone marrow crust, exotic mushrooms and dauphinoise potatoes. For those with a sweet tooth the blueberry cheesecake with candied lemon is a must.
The event will take place between 10h00 and 18h00 and food items will be on sale at either R50.00 per plate or R125.00 for three plates.
The dishes created by Chef Franco and the Table Bay Hotel’s Executive Chef Jocelyn Myers-Adams, will be served at the property’s new brasserie, Camissa which is set to open mid-December.
