Summer Sunset Concerts at the Water’s Edge
Long established and a firm favourite with locals and visitors to Cape Town, the line-up for the V&A Waterfront Free Summer Sunset Concerts has been announced. Taking place on the outdoor Amphitheatre during the month of December, these acoustic performances featuring well-known names offer great views, great music and the perfect way to spend a summer’s evening on the water’s edge. Tucan Tucan

A group of musicians from South Africa, Argentina and Mozambique united to fuse their different styles of music and Afro tropical band Tucan Tucan was born. Describing their sound as world music, they represent a vibrant melting pot of African rhythms such as Kwasa Kwasa, Marrabenta, Mbaqanga, Maskandi and South American elements from salsa and samba to jazz.
Joshua Grierson

Joshua Grierson is a strong newcomer to the Cape Town music scene. His one man act incorporates folk, blues alt-country, and rock leaving the audience mesmerized. Since 2006, Grierson has played in more side projects than most local artists have albums. Always in search of a new sound and new look, he has kept critics and fans guessing while remaining an honest performer and songwriter.
Wendy Oldfield

Wendy Oldfield has released numerous albums and won multiple awards including two SAMA Awards. The singer has just released a new album titled Supernova with Robin Auild sitting in the producer’s chair. After Wendy moved to the Wilderness in 2003, she continued to write songs working with jazz band Gaia, musically directing and arranging the Old Mutual Choral Encounter series.
