Oldest working harbour abuzz with activity

With the arrival of Summer, the V&A Waterfront will be abuzz with a variety of water-based activities. The Ocean Festival will commence with the annual Blessing of the Fishing Fleet at the end of September, and will conclude with the Cape to Rio yacht race on 4 January 2014. As the variety of events includes something for both young and old, South Africa’s oldest working harbour is undoubtedly the best place to spectate and participate in all things marine.

The publishing houses gear up to go paddle to paddle with the aim of raising funds for the Shine Centre, a non-profit providing support in literacy and language enrichment to children in grades 2 and 3. The day will also see teams from two Western Cape schools race as well as a fun charity race amongst educational stakeholders. Come down to the V&A Waterfront to show your support.
