Discover Cheer as you embrace the warmth of an African night and the spirit of Christmas at the V&A Waterfront’s Carols by Candlelight on Friday, 20 December at the Amphitheatre.

A choir of heavenly voices will embrace the crowd in a festive spirit with well-loved hymns and carols from Silent Night to Once in Royal David’s City, Joy to the World and more. Each carol forms part of a fully scripted, theatrical Nativity scene.

It then changes tempo and kicks  it up a notch as the choir shakes off their robes and a live band makes jingle bells swing and ring, and chime in jingle bell time with Frosty the Snowman and other favourite characters.

The evening will end on a rousing note as Santa himself touches down on stage to announce he is “coming to town”, and to entertain the audience with a final rock-n-roll style medley.
