2012 BAKGAT SOMER OPSKOP

8 Dec, 2012

South Africa’s top Afrikaans performers return to the GrandWest Grand Arena for the Bakgat Somer Opskop on Saturday, 8 December.

The star-studded line up includes Steve Hofmeyr, Adam, Sorina Flooze, Jay, Lianie May, Riana Nel, Emo Adams and the Take Note band, each performing their best loved hits.

Songwriter singer Steve Hofmeyr is undoubtedly one of the hardest working and creative artists in South Africa; Platinum selling star Jay boasts with two Huisgenoot Tempo awards and two SAMA nominations to his name;   since her debut album hit the shelves in 2007 Lianie May has produced hit after hit and has CD sales exceeding 120 000 copies; our favourite ‘Flooze’ – Sorina takes to the stage with hits like “Hoezit My Tjomma” and “Ek watch Jou”.  Don’t miss Jay & Lianie May performing a track or two from their latest album “Bonnie en Clyde”.

Join Rudi Grobbelaar Rooies – one of South Africa’s big hearted singers with a great sense of humour singing “Ek’s sexy en ek weet dit”….  Other popular artists include country rocker Ray Dylan, Riana Nel – sister of Nianell – Riana has written songs for the likes of Bobby van Jaarsveld and Lianie May;  ever popular funny man and entertainer extraordinaire, Emo Adams will take to the stage with the band Take Note.

Bokkie Award winner Desmond Wells and the men that keep the party going – Adam also form part of this dazzling line-up.
