American Adam Lambert of US Idols fame will perform in Cape Town at the GrandWest on Tuesday 13 November 2012. The opening act will feature the equally flamboyant and talented South African singer Toya Delazy.

Lambert shot to fame as the runner-up on the eight season of American Idol, which showcased his flamboyant, theatrical and androgynous performance style and powerful tenor vocals.

In the short time since his Idols success, Adam Lambert’s career has soared and along with winning a Grammy Award nomination for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance, his first album For your entertainment sold well in the USA and internationally.

He is in demand and has made numerous Television appearances and live stage performances, including returning to American Idol as a mentor during an Elvis Presley week. At the end of last year he joined Queen as lead singer for a special performance at the MTV Europe Music Awards, in which legendary Queen band-member Roger Taylor called him “a really great performer with an astonishing voice.”

His second album Trespassing was released earlier this year and debuted at No 1 on the Billboard 200.
