Cape Point Nature Run

Spring is around the Corner and that means Cape Point Nature run time, on Sunday 10th November!

This is a scenic National Parks Nature Run, mostly on the tar roads of the reserve. It is not a trail run and not timed by WPA, so you will not be able to use your time to qualify for the Olympics! It is excellent training.
The idea is to enjoy the beautiful and peaceful surroundings (no traffic!) – with your running buddies, without being stressed about PBs. This is an iconic and small event, do not expect crowds. Do expect awesome photos, free on facebook after the weekend.
Our Camping sites were Sold Out last year, so be quick to book one of these. It is a separate option on the Booking Form system. First do your entry and then do the Camping form. Tents only, braai facilities and wood on site.
Arrive on Saturday afternoon to enjoy Ocean views and a beach walk at Bordjiesrif. On Sunday morning, spectacular sunrise with coffee and the race start is a short jog away.
You can choose from the new 34km event, or the standard 21km and 10km races. The 5km fun run, is a mostly a trail run and can be hiked as a very pleasant walk with young children. It ends on the beach at Buffels bay – the Race Finish zone.
Entries are limited, so book now to avoid disappointment.
The Race Fee includes your Entry fee to the Reserve, for you and your family, or car load of spectators (normal fee is R90 a head, Wild Cards do not apply to special events).
You are invited to make a Charity donation to our Honey Badger project. Cape Point Management are re-introducing endangered animals (Honey Badger, Cape Fox and Bontebok) to the reserve and we want to help. Thank You in advance.
The Race Registration takes place on Wed 6th Nov at Sportsmans Warehouse in Tokai, to collect your race number, which is your Access Ticket to the Reserve. If you live out of Cape Town, you may arrange collection via a buddy, from our offices in 297 Long Street, on Thursday 7th, between 10am – 3pm.

Prizegiving at 10ish, with bottles of wine, lots of lucky draw gifts and trophies for the Winners. Cash Prizes only for 1st, 2nd, 3rd Overall. No medals, free photos instead! You may tour the Park after prizegiving.
Water – we are introducing ‘Green Eventing’ and would like to minimise litter production at the Water Tables. Thus, please run with a hydration pack (carry your own water for easy drinking). We will provide water in barrels, along with cups – no sachets – and you will have to stop for a few seconds, to drink and enjoy the views.
