CELEBRATE FATHER’S DAY (AND YOUTH DAY) AT THE LABORIE LAZY DAYS MARKET

Running out of ideas on what to do for your dad this Father’s Day weekend? Head out to the popular Laborie Lazy Days Market on Saturday, 16 June (between 9am and 2pm) where dads will be treated to a spectacular vintage car exhibition, as well as a selection of international and local beers. Outdoor enthusiasts can look forward to a fun filled hike, suitable for the entire family and free of charge! The hike will start at 8:30am and hikers will leave from the cork tree outside the market area.

Known as the ‘neighbourhood farm in the centre of Paarl’, this is the perfect opportunity for family and friends to celebrate dads as well as enjoy this historic public holiday in a scenic and relaxed setting, with a multitude of fun activities for young and old.  Kiddies’ activities will be available throughout the day, and include face painting, jumping castles, balloon moulding and so much more.

Relax and unwind under the trees or on the immaculate lawns, overlooking the vineyards, whilst sipping on a glass of bubbly or wine, taking in the sweet sounds of the live entertainment on offer. Sports fans can look forward to watching the rugby on a big screen TV, which will be set up in the market area.

Open to the public every Saturday the laid back market offers visitors a wide selection of fresh produce and lifestyle goods. These include freshly baked breads, coffee, cheese, olives, honey and charcuterie. From mouth-watering food stalls to arts and craft exhibitors, the market caters to young and old.

Laborie produces some of the best Méthode Cap Classique bubblies; an array of award-winning wines as well as an estate brandy. Visitors can stay overnight in the tranquil guest house or enjoy a delicious meal at Harvest.

An exciting new addition to the farm’s many offerings is the Cecil Skotnes art exhibition, featuring 30 works by this highly acclaimed South African artist, which has been partnered with the Laborie Limited Collection wines. A permanent exhibition at Laborie, his masterpieces are on display in the Cellar Door, Manor House and in the restaurant.
