CENTURY CITY NIGHT MARKET WITH GUY COLLINS LIVE

When the night is young… and the land is dark You can enjoy the light at the Century City Night Market.
One of the Western Cape’s most beautiful, protected wetlands, the 16ha Intaka Island in the middle of Century City, is the venue of a night market that will allow Capetonians to enjoy good food, wine and shopping in this special place.
Think bubbles, wine, beer, fires, warm scents and lots of delicious comfort food as you cuddle up under a heater in a tented seating area overlooking the nature reserve. Or find a cozy spot inside the Eco-Centre and enjoy the ambience created by a chilled sundowner set by DJ Nick Birkby and the acoustic sounds of Guy Collins from Mean Black Mamba.
Born on the southern tip of Africa, Collins has been playing guitar for many years. His interest lies in the distant groove from somewhere in the American south, Howlin’ Wolf on Highway 49, as well as African roots, blues and rock ‘n roll. From Zululand Maskandi to Malian Desert Blues and the Mississippi Delta, Collins will entertain visitors to the eco island and accompany them on their mission to enjoy sundowners in a most unusual place.
So why don’t you pop in after work and enjoy a glass of wine or craft beer and grab a bite to eat.

Location: Intaka Island Eco-Centre, Park Lane in Century City
Directions: If you are coming from Cape Town along the N1, take the Sable road turn off; at the top of the off ramp turn left. Follow the road around the bend into Ratanga Rd. Follow Ratanga Road and at the third set of robots, turn right into Century Boulevard. Go over one speed bump, and you will come to a circle, go around the circle, and exit it right (3 o’clock) into Century Way (follow Intaka Island signs). Once in Century Way take your first left into Park Lane.
