ONLINE ENTRIES OPEN FOR GUN RUN 2013

Entries for one of Cape Town’s biggest and most popular road running events, the OUTsurance 94.5 Kfm Gun Run, open on Monday 3 June at 10h00 and participants can enter online at www.thegunrun.co.za.

The event takes place on Sunday 13 October and participants can choose to take part in the 21km half marathon, 10km run/walk or the 5km fun run/walk, aimed at families, younger participants, beginners and walkers.  Last year the event attracted a record field of close to 15 500 participants, and race organiser Atlantic Athletic Club is expecting to host close to 18 000 on race day.

Participants can pick up an entry form from any Sportsmans Warehouse from 10 June onwards and entries will be taken in store.  Entries close on Sunday 29 September so participants have more than enough time to get their entries in, and there is no limit to entries in each of the distances.  All the latest up to date event information can be found at www.thegunrun.co.za.  Contact Top Events on 021-511 7130 or info@topevents.co.za.

The Anna Foundation has been appointed as the official beneficiary for the event and all funds raised will go towards helping them with their cause.  The Foundation is a non-profit organisation working with children who live on farms and in rural areas of the Western Cape.  Their mission is to support rural communities through its education, sports and life development programmes.  They recognise each child as unique and special, and aim to equip each one with skills for life-long learning.  To find out more visit www.annafoundation.com.
