Every day between 30 November and 6 January, excluding Monday and Thursday, a colourful cast of characters will set about transforming boredom to squeals of delight at the GrandWest children’s entertainment area.

Small visitors can get into the spirit of the season by having their faces painted and the balloon sculptor will create a wide variety of balloon animals and figures, especially for them.

While the mime artist will mimic passersby the magician will literally hold them spellbound with his range of magic tricks. The lofty stiltwalker, colourful clown and nimble-fingered juggler will all add to the carnival atmosphere.

The silver human statue will stand so still people will feel compelled to poke him to see if he really is a statue, and the wandering minstrel will entertain with any genre of music that pleases, from classic to Spanish flamenco.

Young girls especially will love GrandWest’s agile ballerina who will dance for them, but the biggest treat will be surprise sightings of Santa as he pops in for visits from the North Pole to meet with some of his most dedicated fans at GrandWest. An onsite photographer will capture the unforgettable memories.
