Never content to rest, Cape Town’s longest and most loved indoor psy trance brand LABYRINTH (or LAB as it is most affectionately know) has returned to celebrate a mind-melting 8 years of psy!

Join in the celebrations on Saturday 25 May 2013 at Trinity in Cape Town! This marks LABYRINTH’s third year at Cape Town’s only super club, and with every winter season seeing this mammoth venue being packed to capacity, it is true reassurance that LABYRINTH is Cape Town’s most loved indoor psy brand.

Since its inception 8 years ago LABYRINTH has set the standard for indoor psy events, with production that’s international and a concept that’s truly local. The brainchild of Hype Media, a company that delivers ‘commercial sensibility with underground passion’, you can be assured that LABYRINTH will once again be a visual and aural feast. Expect ‘Murky Minimal, Tweakin’ Techno, Groovy Progressive & Slick Psychedelic Electronic & Psytrance Music.’

ABOUT LABYRINTH:
LAB is no stranger to throwing psytrance parties – having kicked off early in 2005 at the now infamous Opium venue by hosting a weekly Thursday night. LAB hosted multiple line-ups each week, featuring the biggest local names (Artifakt, Lox, Protoculture), visiting internationals (D-Nox, Abomination, Skazi, Eskimo, Atomic Pulse, Shane Gobi), as well as developing up & coming talent (APM, who has since gone on to become Headroom)

LAB then moved homes from Opium when it closed to The Bang Bang Club for a brief time before settling at Fiction to host a weekly Wednesday night party – continuing with its mission to deliver the best mid-week party around! A brief run at the Rhino Room thereafter led to LAB deciding to go back underground, surfacing only for special events – such as hosting Friday nights for Earthdance and Origin, as well as a few key club events around Cape Town. LAB also was instrumental in the first Equinox Experience event, coming on board to help organize and run the festival – breaking boundaries in terms of what was possible in the outdoor scene, and setting the tone for the surge in popularity of prog psy over recent years.

With the opening of Trinity – LAB knew it had found its new home, setting up a Wednesday party to literally “bring the outdoors indoors” – with massive sound, lighting, décor and visuals to transport psy-lovers each month! After more than a year of these mid-week events, LAB took it up a notch to move to Saturdays, focusing on the winter season with a promise to deliver the biggest and best indoor events each winter – which there is no doubt they achieved!

LAB goes onto to celebrate its 8^th birthday on Saturday 25^th May 2013, and takes its 3^rd year at Trinity further with 3 massive events coming up for the winter season!

With literally thousands of attendees at each event – LAB has secured place in psytrance royalty in South Africa.
