Milnerton Players celebrate their own ‘Oscar’ evening

5 May, 2012 @ 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM

If you are a keen supporter of the Milnerton Players then you won’t want to miss their very own “Oscar” awards evening.  Saturday May 5 at 7pm sees the Milly’s Awards presented for productions staged during 2011 at the Milnerton Playhouse.

Book now for an evening that promises all the excitement that goes with an awards evening as well as some delightful entertainment that sets the evening off with swing. Add a little “bling” to the mix and this is an event that should not be missed.

Up for grabs are awards that range from best technical, best costume through to  best actor and actress, best director and more and are hotly contested by the participants. 2011 was a year for some excellent productions and those who have supported these will want to see their favourites rewarded for excellent performance.

Adjudicated by an independent, theatre-wise panel comprised of Yvonne Copley, Teddy Davies, Mari Mocke, Graham Boxall and Audrey Gootman the evening promises to be a memorable night.

A short but deliciously funny cabaret ‘Who are you calling an Idiom’ by Selma Darling kicks off the evening in the cabaret foyer of the Milnerton Playhouse  This preview of a one-woman music and comedy show will have the audience laughing heartily at her witty dialogue.

A finger supper will be served after the cabaret and then moving into the main theatre for the awards presentations.
