VORTEX & PLAYING IT FORWARD will be donating to a wonderful charity, “Where Rainbows Meet” in Muizenberg, This group of people do the most amazing work, uplifting community members who were/are affected by drug and alcohol abuse. VORTEX together with PLAYING IT FORWARD ask you to donate anything you feel can uplift this community, clothes, canned food, blankets anything you feel can help these souls and uplift their spirits and keep them warm this winter!

•The Art of Dance•

We dance because it’s the fastest, most direct route to the truth — not some big truth that belongs to everybody, but the get down and personal kind, the what’s-happening-in-me-right-now kind of truth. We dance to reclaim our brilliant ability to disappear in something bigger, something safe, a space without a critic or a judge or an analyst.

We dance to fall in love with the spirit in all things, to wipe out memory or transform it into moves that nobody else can make because they didn’t live it.
We dance to survive and the beat offers a yellow brick road to make it through the chaos that is the tempo of our times. We dance to let go and give up all up just to live that moment completely free!

►WECAN

Also part of our projects this year is a local charity called WECAN: Woman Empowered Committed Against Negativity. They engage female youth and children in activities such as sports and recreation, family outings/days, edutainment, community services like aftercare services and counseling services.
