ROCK WITH VALIANT SWART AT NEETHLINGSHOF’S FIRST MALBEC FESTIVAL

Swap your lazy Sunday night for an evening of blood-pumping and hip-swinging tunes with local music icon Valiant Swart at Neethlingshof’s very first Malbec Festival on November 11.

Known for his Afrikaans rock ‘n roll hits and cowboy-like charm, Valiant is sure to captivate the audience every moment he’s on stage. Having compiled more than 100 original songs and 14 albums over the past 20 years, Valiant is well known as a top-class entertainer.

Make the most of the festival’s “unpretentious food, wine and artist” theme and start the night with a complimentary tasting of Malbec straight from the barrel. A festival pass also gets you a free glass of Neethlingshof Malbec 2011 and delicious bunny chow with a choice of curried mince, creamy chicken and mushrooms or stewed vegetables. Make sure you get there early for the best spot with a view of the stage.

Time: Gates open at 16:30 while the performance starts at 18:00.
Venue: Neethlingshof Estate situated on the M12 between Kuilsriver and Stellenbosch.
Cost: Standard tickets cost R110 and include a festival pass, filled vetkoek, glass of Neethlingshof Malbec 2011 as well as the barrel tasting.
VIP tickets: Cost R150 and include a festival pass, filled vetkoek, glass of Neethlingshof Malbec 2011, the barrel tasting, terrace seating plus additional snacks.
Tickets for children: Under the age of 12 cost R40 and include a festival pass, filled vetkoek, and juice.
