Stellenbosch Street Soiree all loved up in February

Passions meet pleasures in oak lined streets on 12th February

Enthusiasts are in for an early Valentines treat when the next Stellenbosch Street Soiree paints the oak lined streets of this historic town red with the latest passions and pleasures from South Africa’s wine and gourmet capital on Wednesday, 12 February.

These monthly ‘pavement celebrations’ invite locals and visitors to step outside and savoir the true spirit of Stellenbosch with a glass of wine and a bite to eat – right there in the street, where strangers become friends and live music soothes the soul after a tough day at the office.

The February gathering will take on a romantic spin with tables brimming with fitting taste sensations to perk up the senses and mid-week mood. The lower part of Church Street is where all the action is at, with wine tastings offered by various Stellenbosch estates and a smorgasbord of foodie taste sensations beckoning young and old to revel in a slice of the Stellenbosch lifestyle.

“Our January event was a roaring success and our next ‘pavement playground’ will be transformed into a food and lover’s paradise, so come early and make the most of this after-work gathering. And while you are in town why not treat yourself to a dinner at one of our amazing restaurants!” adds Elmarie Rabe, events manager for Stellenbosch Wine Routes.

The Stellenbosch Street Soiree takes place from 18h00 to 20h00 (between Bird Street and Andringa Street) and for R50 one gets a wine glass and a ticket to taste to your heart’s content, while delicious street food will also be on sale on the evening.
