Tygerberg Heritage Festival

The Greater Tygerberg Partnership, an organisation tasked by the Mayor’s office with breathing new life into the Tygerberg and Voortrekker Road Corridor area, in collaboration with local businesses, JayDee, Voortrekker Road Corridor Improvement District (VRCID), MES and AGS Bellville, is hosting the first Tygerberg Heritage Festival held from Friday 25^th to Sunday 27^th October.

Festival highlights include performances from the top six contestants during the final event of the Tygerberg Talent Competition. A benefit concert featuring performances from chart topping heartthrob Chad Saaiman, and the ever-popular Alen the singing car guard, will kick start the festival on Friday, 25^th.

Highlights on Saturday include performances by local professionals and amateur artists in a diverse line-up of music, dance and poetry acts throughout the day. Other activities include food and market stalls, a fashion show, the Tygerberg’s Cook-Off, drum workshop and kiddie’s activities.

Sunday’s highlight will be the action packed Tygerberg all nations five-a-side football tournament.
