Wild Clovers Braai-Themed Family Market

15 Sep, 2013

Wild Clover’s event announcement:

Wild Clover celebrates the return of the braai season with Peter Goffe-Wood

Celebrating the arrival of spring and the return of SA’s outdoor season, Wild Clover is hosting a special edition of their newly launched Sunday market. On Sunday 15 September, the Wild Clover family market in Stellenbosch will focus on all things to do with one of South Africa’s favourite past-times – the family braai.

This is a unique opportunity for getting Capetonians in the mood ahead of National Braai Day, allowing you to stock up on your favourite flavours and be inspired with new ideas for impressing your friends and family with your outdoor cooking skills.

The braai-themed market will also include special friend and guest – of Masterchef and Kitchen Cowboy fame – Peter Goffe-Wood, who might be performing a fun demo of his favourite braai recipe at Wild Clover. The market kicks off at 10am and the usual Wild Clover activities, kids attractions, restaurant and brewery will also be open. There will be activities for the whole family to indulge in a Sunday spring outing – complete with live music.

Set in the gorgeous Simonsberg mountain area of the winelands, only half an hour from Cape Town and 20 minutes from Durbanville, this Sunday market offers a delightful selection of things to browse, buy and eat as well as crafts and braai-inspired goodies for gifts too. The farm itself is also known for its on-site brewery and roastery, with both the craft beers and the Quaffee brand of roasted beans available to purchase and take home.

So on 15 September, whether you want to take part in an exciting display of braai skills and showmanship by sharing your recipes and braai ideas or simply delight in new tastes and that oh-so-familiar Sunday smell of the family braai fire, visit Wild Clover www.wildclover.co.za or the facebook page to find out more about the competition, deadline for recipe submissions is 12 September www.facebook.com/WildCloverFarm

The semi-finalists will be chosen by chef extraordinaire and Masterchef judge Peter Goffe-Wood, and all five will receive special braai hampers.
