Ghosts of Sir Lowry’s Pass

The first steep wagon trail up Hottentots Holland Kloof was replaced by Sir Lowry’s Pass in 1830, but the new road brought more accidents. The phantom of a speeding Buick races towards the top of the Pass and crashed over the edge. The site of the old Summit Tea Room is also said to be haunted by the ghost of its owner who died tragically, but the tea room subsequently burned down.
